Year 7 and 10 2015 BYOD program

It is recommended that students in Year 7 and 10 do not bring their laptop devices to school in the first two weeks.  We are currently working with the Department of Education, Training and Employment (DETE) to ensure the implemented technical solution will allow our BYOD devices to safely and securely connect to the school network.

We have been made aware some parents have not acquired a laptop for their student as they are waiting on availability of specific stock.  We advise parents to continue waiting for the availability of the laptop your family has decided to purchase.

Before your student brings their BYOD laptop to school in week 3, it is recommended that the device is loaded with an antivirus software and Microsoft Office package.  All state school students from Prep to Year 12 can now download multiple free copies of the Microsoft Office 2013 Suite to their personal home and mobile computer equipment.  Norton’s Security Anti-virus software is being offered at a special discount price to students, teachers and staff.

Please note that all instructions sheets are provided on the school website on how to upload the software onto their device.

If you are a family with a legitimate financial concerns and wish to be considered for the BYOD Equity program, please contact Kirsty Weston
