To assist members of the school community in ensuring that the diverse learning needs of all students are met.
Special Education Unit The Special Education Unit supports students with disabilities which are verified by Education Queensland. The unit is coded for Intellectual Impairment (II), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech Language Impairment (SLI). The unit also supports students with other impairments such as Physical Impairment (PI), Vision Impairment (VI) and Hearing Impairment (HI) particularly when they are part of multiple impairments.
Special Education students are sometimes also supported by Advisory Visiting Teachers who are specialists in particular impairments.
Support options are individualised in collaboration with parents or carers. The options include
- Individual Education Plans. - In-class or Special Education Unit support. - Work preparation, experience and post school transition. - Community access programs. - Assessment support. - Social skills and stress management programs. - Advocacy. - Disabled sport.

Learning Support Unit
The learning support unit assists students with specific learning difficulties and those with emergent issues.
Learning support options include: - Testing and remediation in literacy and numeracy. - Tutoring. - Assignment and assessment assistance. - Internet and word processing facilities. - Individual Learning and assessment programs.
Social and emotional support options include: - Anti-harassment programs and personal skills development. Mediation. - Mental health (e.g. Anxiety, depression, school refusal, truancy). - Home/community links. - Working with teachers, parents and students on behavioural issues. - Programs to assist with grief, loss, anger, anxiety and other life difficulties.
