Cleveland has mixed results in GBS sport PDF Print E-mail

Cleveland High has three teams undefeated after three rounds of GBS winter sport. Open Girls soccer outclassed a strong Albany Creek team winning 5-0. Cody Imber and Kirsty McMaster were Cleveland's best in a well controlled team display. Middle school girls had a hard fought 0-0 Draw. Nadine Magee was solid in defence with Aileen Brown and Kyra Spierings creating a number of excellent chances in attack.

Senior boys volleyball won 3-0 controlling the game throughout to win in 3 sets with great back court work from Justin Hunt and good all court play from Cody Danielsen-Jensen. Open boys soccer were unlucky to lose 1-0 with Sam Basnett and Jake Piva controlling the game in the middle of the park. Middle boys volleyball lost their first game 3-2 in a tough 5 setter. Andrew Russell served consistently well and Jordan Pullen and Max Cubby played strongly throughout. Senior girls netball fought back well despite falling behind early losing 24-9.
