After a great showing in the Statewide competitions this year the boys capped the year in fine style completing a cleen sweep in the event. Competing against 29 teams from around , defeated Balmoral SHS (Qld) in the semi-finals before smashing CollegeBoysSydney to win the Gold in the 2nd division of the Open boys competition.ClevelandAustralia

Coaches Brenton Thornhill and Di Smith said all players contributed in the successful week. Chad Wilkinson, Luke Atkins and Lachlan Mann were powerful spikers from all over the court, complementing great setting from Chris Atkins. Nick Edmunds and Jack Sommerfeld attacked brilliantly from the edges of the court while Blake Singleton and Libero Jacob Johnson were sensational in mopping up everything in the backcourt.

In an added bonus Chad Wilkinson was invited into the National youth talent identification program.

The boys represented themselves and school brilliantly - special mention to Chris and Luke for the extremely high standard of officiating during the week, and need to be congratulated on fine performances.
