Library News - Simon Higgins PDF Print E-mail
Library News
The author Simon Higgins sparked the imaginations of our budding writers with his witty and informative sessions during his visit recently. He delighted students with his ‘truth is stranger than fiction’ anecdotes, explaining how the situations in his futuristic novels have actually occurred since they were published. Simon also gave an entertaining demonstration of his techniques with a traditional samurai sword.

He stayed after these sessions to sign books and judge the Year 9 Children’s Picture Book Competition. The winners generously donated their book prizes to the Pango School in Vanuatu. Simon congratulated all students on their fine work.
First Prize – Holly Challoner
Second Prize – Hayden Wagner
Third Prize – Mary Joy Tamargo
