It is important that students choose subjects carefully as their decisions may affect the types of occupations they can choose in the future, their success at school and their feelings about school. For a list of the wide range of subjects on offer in our school, go to the Subject Offerings web page.

School Publications

Follow the set of planned steps listed in the relevant Subject Information booklet and consider all of the information carefully. Included are useful sections on choosing what to study, occupations related to subjects, subject categories, subject prerequisites and subject descriptions. If you are still uncertain about the combination of subjects you have chosen, check with the Guidance Officer or any of the many staff available to help.

Related Publications

QTAC publications provide an overview of the courses that institutions expect to be available in each year and provide details of the requirements for entry to those courses. The prerequisites listed are subjects that should be studied in Years 11 and 12 and are linked to the exit assessment levels required at the end of the senior phase of learning - Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre.

Tertiary Prerequisites 2012 - for Year 11 students in 2010

Bullseye posters are designed to help students identify occupations that link with subjects studied at school and give an indication of the level of education and training required. They are very popular with students, parents, teachers and career advisors, having been modified to make them interactive with myfuture, which has hyperlinks to corresponding occupation profiles - Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
