On Saturday 18 August fifteen of our Gifted and Talented Year 8 students participated in the Brisbane South Optiminds Challenge. These students formed three groups, two of which competed in the Language Literature category and the other competing in the Science Engineering category.

The students participated well and did Cleveland District State High School proud. Their hard work was rewarded with an Optiminds Spirit Award being presented to the students for their outstanding efforts in all challenges. A big thank you also to Mrs Kennedy, Ms Carroll, Mr Keith and Mr Porteous for their time and effort as without these dedicated teachers participation would not have been possible.
